It was really a blessing to have the opportunity to photograph this family. K & I started chatting as I was setting up for the shoot and realized how many connections we had to each other through college, friends, etc. Crazy we hadn't officially met sooner than we did. It was great to see what a beautiful family she has. C is almost one, and is adorable and on the go! She is certainly going to keep them on their toes. What a sweetheart!

C & R were hitched this past weekend on a gorgeous winter day out at the Earle Brown Heritage Center. All the planning of the last three months (yes, C is so amazing she was able to plan this event in a THREE MONTHS...it can be done!!) came together for a lovely ceremony and reception. C was absolutely stunning (and R wasn't looking so bad himself). I was honored to be able to shoot their day, and I had Mike from 1012 Photo along side me, who is fabulously creative and awesome to work with. Check out their preview below.

I know I've been a little MIA on this blog the past few days. I am whipping through photo shoots, and have discovered it's a bit quicker to get things up on my Lissarrague Images Facebook page. Plus it's kind of fun to interact with you on there vs. those of you that read this and I have no idea if you like what you're seeing or not! :)

So if you get a chance, check it out. I will still be posting here as soon as I'm caught up, but for now, my previews of just a few images will be showing up there first since it's quicker!

Also, I've been shooting a lot of weddings and engagements lately and for the most part, I post those on my Bellagala blog.

Katelyn | Senior Photos | St. Paul

This was one of my favorite photo shoots to date. Katelyn is effortlessly beautiful and completely trendy. And after just a few minutes with her it was clear she is kind, fun-loving and has a great attitude. We spent her session hitting up a number of locations in St. Paul to get an urban feel for her images. She was so easy - needed very little direction and she has one of those smiles that naturally lights up her entire face.

I see Hopie every few months or so for pictures, and every time I see her I think she's cuter than the time before. This time was no exception. She showed up with all the ingredients for a perfect photo shoot - pigtails, a red wagon and her favorite stuffed bear. We met out at Minnehaha on a beautiful afternoon. Her stylish momma had picked out some pretty sweet outfits that went great with the fall colors.

P and N are one of the coolest couples I've ever met. Beyond just being sweet and fun, they are crazy about each other and are so kind to other people. The first time I met N I felt like I knew her forever - she has a personality that instantly puts you at ease.

Their wedding was beautiful. N had a stylish vintage flare for the day and carried it off well in everything from her dress to the table settings at her reception.

N & P, it's been so awesome getting to know the two of you a bit better this past year and I look forward to seeing where life takes you as a married couple. Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your day!

I love seeing this little girl (as I've said before)! She is turning into such a sweetheart, and not only that, but I enjoy getting to catch up with her momma! This last session was extra fun as Jenna is now in a super friendly stage and made sure to say hi (and sometimes hug!) every person we passed during our time together. I'm sure she brings a lot of joy to many people on a daily basis with her huge smile and and all her hugs! I can't believe this little girl is turning two this week. Time sure flies! I love this little man. He is an absolute blessing, as are his parents. I had the honor of shooting his two year pictures this past week. We headed out to Lake Nokomis last week right before the sun set and he did great! These are some of my favorites of him to date. His personality is really shining thru - one minute he's a total goofball and the next he looks like he's pondering all of life's mysteries. I think the only thing missing from these photos is his SOA beanie...oh well. We'll have to get that next time! ;)

Last week I met up with this family out at Harriet Island. I had a blast with them! These two adorable kiddos are two of the best behaved little ones I've ever met. They both did so well! And I loved the outfits that S picked out for the family - they looked great and it went so well with the beautiful colors we had to work with! Definitely my favorite time of year to be out shooting. Check out these beautiful little girls. I was so honored to get to photograph them again! And SHOCKED at what little girls they have become (in my head, A was still a baby!). We had a beautiful afternoon for a photoshoot, and their mom picked out some great outfits and had a special treat in store. I love these photos because I think their personalities shine through - check out the determined look on L's face just before she heads down the slide! And from the limited time I spent with them, A sure seems to be the clown of the family, often trying to make her big sister laugh! Below is a little preview from our session.

I am so far behind on blog posting that right now I'm just whipping through editing and getting images out to clients. Usually I try and get a post up within a few days of the photoshoot, with a disc to follow about a week later, but it's so crazy at this time of year with all the families preparing for Christmas cards, wedding season wrapping up, wedding season for next year booking, that I've been ignoring my blog a bit. So I apologize if you're waiting on images from me! I am working fast and furiously to get caught up and get preview posted and discs out the door!

That said, I'm so excited to share pictures from this handsome little man. He was SUCH a joy to work with - I couldn't have asked for a sweet little guy to photograph. And I still can't get over his HUGE eyes and his awesome curls!

Sam | Minneapolis Senior Pictures

I was delighted to get out last week and do a senior session with Sam. Boys can sometimes be a bit more challenging than senior girls as they typically aren't as excited to have their photos taken, however, they are generally more laid back and relaxed. Sam was easy and fun to work with, and we were out at a great spot on a gorgeous day! We even had a couple of visitors as we hiked around the park a bit.

It was my pleasure to meet this great family today. They are "new" addition to the Midwest, recently returning from living in New Jersey. We had a great day for a shoot...still can't believe it was 90 degrees outside!

Little N did an awesome job - put up with the lights and camera like a little trooper. I melted as soon as I met him - check out his amazing, huge blue eyes! I'm so pumped about the images from today. He did a great job throughout the whole shoot, but definitely got a little sick of me at the end. Luckily he still looks pretty darn cute even when he's not as happy...

Welcome Lily! | Minneapolis Newborn Photography

This beautiful little bundle of joy made her entrance into the world right on time, this past Wednesday. And she couldn't have been met with more perfect, or more deserving parents than the ones the Lord chose for her.

I was pumped when Heather texted and asked what I had going on...I could not WAIT to meet Lily! She is so beautiful...simply perfect. And her mommy and daddy couldn't be more proud of her. It was amazing to watch these three bond together as a family for a few moments. One of my favorite things in life is to a see a father cuddling his newborn baby girl, and Dan rarely took his eyes off of Lily or her gorgeous mommy, Heather, the entire time I was with them.

This is the reason I am so thankful to be doing what I do - documenting life...moments like this...

This is one of my favorite sessions to date, and I'm so excited to share it! What an awesome family!! J and P were great to work with, and their four children (all under the age of eight!) were so incredibly well behaved...I couldn't believe they put up with me for well over an hour!

Love all the beautiful eyes in this family!! And yes, J has had four kids. Amazing right?! I told her that she's my inspiration. :)

This was one of my favorite weddings to date to photograph. Throw in two amazing people that are CRAZY about each other, a GORGEOUS bride, awesome family and friends (seriously - one of the coolest wedding parties ever), a vintage theme, a beautiful venue and GREAT weather to top it all of and you've got yourself one happy photographer! Oh, did I mention a beautiful bride?!

I met S just a little over a year ago, and was blessed to get a chance to get to know her a bit better this last year. Talk about meeting someone with a heart of gold. It was easy to see that B&S are perfect for each other and why B fell head over heels for her. They had an amazing day filled with tons of love, excitement and hope for the future, as well as family and friends from all over the country (plus good food...and cake...which is really the only reason I photograph weddings!).

S&B - I was absolutely honored to be able to be a part of your day. I wish you two the best in your marriage and am so excited to see where you go from here. I know you're going to do big things together as a couple and look forward to seeing your family grow and change. Thanks for letting me be there to capture your day!

A1 just turned four last weekend and A2 turned six months just a little more than week ago. And of course, as photographer, that equals the perfect opportunity for a photo shoot!

I was absolutely thrilled when Tammy e-mailed me a few months ago to set up a family shoot for this past Friday. I had a blast last time we got together for a session, and this time was even more fun! They have quite a handsome man on their hands - Kam is a BLAST to photograph with his huge blue eyes and contagious smile. He kept us all laughing. Although it was HOT (the first 90+ day of the summer!), it was so easy to photograph this family of three that is obviously crazy about each other; I didn't even notice the heat!

Deployment Shoot | Family Photography

This morning I was honored to be able to photograph the deployment of the Minnesota National Guard unit based in East St. Paul, specifically a family that I did a photo shoot for a few weeks ago. These soldiers and their families are heroes; they give up so much for our country...we can't thank them enough.

It was tough to watch this family say goodbye. I am already looking forward to their homecoming!

M & M, thank you so much for letting me a part of this special day. It was a privilege and blessing to me to be a part of it. I will be praying for safety and peace for you during the next year.

This is quite possibly the cutest little man alive...! Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting with Chris, Hannah and Cooper again, and we had a BEAUTIFUL day for a shoot. It reminded me why I live in Minnesota.

Cooper was in a bit of a serious mood, but he's such a handsome little guy that even when serious, he makes great pictures! We were able to coax some smiles out of him when we made our way to the playground. Below are some images from my very own family's Christmas photo shoot. This is the first year we've ever done this, and it was rather challenging to try and be both the shooter and a participant in the shoot! I used a timer for the photos of all three of us (REALLY challenging!!), and my husband has started to get a little bit of an itch for photography and captured the images of my daughter and I. I'm happy with the results and it's kind of fun to have some pictures of Akaela and I! Now just to pick one to use for our Christmas card...

I met Kara this past summer when my little brother and sister-in-law got hitched! I was delighted when she e-mailed me about her upcoming wedding. This past weekend I got to visit with Alison, Ben and Hope again to shoot Hope's nine month photos. I cannot believe how fast time flies - I think I say that every single time I see this beautiful little girl, but she is just growing so quickly! Her personality is starting to show even more and in the past few months she's started learn exactly what she wants, when she wants it, and how to move about to get it! We had a lot of fun using some fun toys and other props while capturing some smiles and frowns, showing what being nine months is all about!

Chad, Brooke and Jenna | Family Photos

I absolutely love when I get to visit with Chad, Brooke and Jenna for photos..I definitely enjoy all of my clients, but this family is one of my absolute favorites and I always look forward to my time with them. Jenna just turned one last week, and it's been so fun to see her grow and change over the last year. This was the fourth time I've met with them, and each time I am shocked at how much Jenna has grown and how much her personality is starting to shine. Today she was showing herself to be very independent and quite the dare devil! Chad and Brooke are going to wear themselves out chasing this happy little bundle around - she is quick, brave and extremely curious!

We started our shoot out at a pumpkin patch where we chased Jenna around as she explored all the different things to see, and then ended the shoot at their house where Brooke had a number of adorable outfits ready to go, including one of the cutest Halloween costumes I've ever seen! We got a number of hilarious faces and adorable smiles from her today, and I'm really excited to post this preview of this amazing family and beautiful little girl!!

Chad and Brooke - thank you SO MUCH for another fun afternoon with you three. I am so blessed to have met you back in January - it's been so fun watching your family grow over the past year!

Megan + Tyrell | Engagement Photography
